The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred off-campus during the early morning hours of December 1, 2025 at McCrae Dental located at 995 Baxter Street. Traffic in the area of South Milledge Avenue at Baxter Street is likely to be impacted for the duration of the investigation.
We would like to take this opportunity to both raise awareness of this specific incident and remind our community of the importance of developing and following a sound personal safety strategy.
